Assomption Lyon confirms its European commitment each year thanks to its Erasmus+ accreditations, which allow the institution to offer numerous international experiences to its students as well as its educational teams.
These accreditations, complemented by funding from the Assomption France consortium, provide a solid and sustainable framework for developing ambitious projects in training, cultural openness, and educational cooperation across Europe.
Mobilities for all levels: from primary to high school.
The institution has made European mobility a major focus of its educational project. Thanks to Erasmus+, students of all ages discover new horizons:
Primary school: Madrid, Vilnius and Copenhagen.
From a very young age, students can experience their first cultural immersion.
Mobilities were organized to Madrid (Spain), Vilnius (Lithuania), and Denmark (Copenhagen) allowing the children to experience learning differently, in contact with European peers and through fun and linguistic projects adapted to their age.
Middle School: A Dynamic Franco-German Exchange
The middle school students participate in a long-standing exchange with the HERMANN Gymnasium in Bremen, Germany.
This exchange, rich in linguistic and human discoveries, strengthens cooperation between the two institutions and offers adolescents the powerful experience of immersion in a foreign family and school system.
High school: diverse European mobilities
High school students extend this international openness with educational stays in Madrid or Sweden, built around linguistic, scientific, or cultural projects.
Some high school students also benefit from Erasmus+ mobilities to complete their internships in Europe—a first international professional experience, a major asset for their future careers.
Mobilities for adults: training in Europe through job shadowing
Assomption Lyon also invests in the continuous training of its teachers and educational staff.
Job shadowing allows the adults at the institution to observe the pedagogical practices of other European schools, exchange with their peers, and enrich their professional skills.
Mobilities have already been carried out in Italy and Ireland, providing a tremendous lever for pedagogical innovation within the institution.
Thanks to Erasmus+ accreditations and the support of the Assomption consortium, the institution is developing a true culture of international openness. These projects give meaning to learning, promote student autonomy and curiosity, and enrich teachers' professional practices.
