Accredited projects for mobility of learners and staff in school education 2022-2023

Thanks to our accreditation for School Education, we obtained a grant of 32 540€ to carry out our Erasmus + projects between June 1st, 2022 and August 31st, 2023.

This grant is used for projects we have already mentioned and renewed in 2022-2023 (projects with Rygaards International School, Colegio de la Asunción Vallecas, internships abroad), and for a new project in Middle School, in which 15 students in year 9 will be involved. They will take part in a four-day mobility in Brussels to visit the European Parliament, experience the Parlamentarium etc.

Our project presents the origin of Democracy (the birth of Democracy in Ancient Rome, mother of our civilisations), its evolution in our current societies, Democracy as a unifying element of the different countries of the European Union, and the comparison between past and present.

Our objectives :

  • knowledge of the origin of democracy in Greek and Roman civilisations, its evolution with the Enlightenment and democratic ideals,
  • the respect of all democratically established rules,
  • improving the thinking and analytical skills of our students and staff members in relation to the society around us,
  • the responsible use of social networks including prevention of cyberbullying: exercising democracy and active citizenship means knowing how to manage social networks,
  • respecting and appreciating differences, tolerance and solidarity,
  • disability awareness.

Eligible participants: Year 11 students.

This project started in September 2021 and will end in June 2024. Each year, new Year 11 students will be able to apply and join the project. A meeting will be organised in September 2022 for the students who are interested in this project and their families.
